2024 Recap

Well the holidays are here and the year is ending. Thank you for your cards, calls and well wishes. I decided to do totally virtual card or holiday greeting. Let me know how this works. Happy Holidays!

What have I learned?

First, grateful to be here and to have you as friends, loved ones and family. Each year I reflect on the key experiences. Time: I didn't work a 40 hour work week in 2024. I got up each day and planned out what would happen. Basically I:

Expanded my Network

Reflected on my Career

Spent more time enjoying the quiet moments

Enjoyed Friends and Family

I learned that life is a like a novel that you can't read ahead of the plot or story. You are on a page experiencing an event but you don't know what will happen. Also, you can't figure it out or make sense of everything as you would like to.

In that, life is like going for a ride sometimes you can drive but most times you are in the back seat telling the driver to turn. The map and navigation isn't like what you have with Uber. You don't see miles up ahead. You just keep driving and riding.

In life, dreams can come true. But not when you when you want them to or how you want them to materialize. Sometimes, you will be highly delighted, amazed and surprised of the outcomes. But for some reason, you can't open gifts before you are allowed to.

The main thing, I learned is patience, persistence and being creative to find an oasis or two on my journey to refresh and energize for the next step. You can't go alone and you need others to support you with words of encouragement and loving criticism. I have also learned, I am less significant than I thought. Despite my credentials, accolades and other accomplishments, you can't depend on what happened to shape what will happen.

Out of it all, I don't get it. I don't see how it all comes together, but I know and have faith it will.
